It feels good to accomplish your goals.
Do you edit as you go? I tend to type in big outpourings and then later go back and fix.
I do minor edits as I type because I’m anal retentive, and I also do at least two major edits when the manuscript is complete before submitting to my editor. I tried just writing and not editing until the very end…once. It was so bad that I had to scrap the entire ms and start over.
Yeah, I tend to do a good clip and then scan it. Sorry, always curious how others work.
Don’t apologize. Talking about the process gets me to think about it, which I need to do because my scatter-shot approach wasn’t working.
