Letting Go

7 Jan 2008

Seven days into the new year–and I still haven’t written a word. (Okay, maybe a few words, but they’re nothing to brag about. And I admit I’m distracted by the Cassie Edwards plagiarism expose.)

As someone who’s extremely aware of her faults (but doesn’t always know how–or, sometimes, even want to know how–to fix ’em), I realized I can’t let go. I have a scene that I’m trying to work into a story that I’ve rewritten FIVE times now and it just doesn’t fit with the new direction. So, I’m going to cut out the scene. (I’m feeling a little lighter already.)

Tonight.

Right after finishing this blog entry.

Wish me luck.
