CONTEST: Have Books, Will Send, Part 1 of 5

2 Jun 2008

I did a ruthless purge of my personal library and now have 107 orphan books that need good homes. They’re mainly romances from a wide range of authors, including Connie Brockway, Lori Foster (I think I have all her early Harlequins), Emma Holly, Alison Kent, Lisa Kleypas, Angela Knight, Elizabeth Lowell and Elizabeth Thornton. There are category titles, including Harlequin Tempations, Blazes and Presents, and single titles, including straight contemporaries, suspenses and paranormals.

Every month from now until November 2008, I’ll give away 21 or 22 books–and maybe a little something extra–and a $5 Amazon or Barnes & Noble GC. To enter this month’s draw, list the last five books you read. Contest closes June 30, 2008 at 5 PM MST.

(BTW, since shipping is horrendously expensive, even to my neighbors south of the 49th parallel, I’m limiting the contest to residents of Canada and the United States.  And if you think this is a bad idea and I should just stick to GC, let me know.)

Jane, is Kay Hooper writing romantic suspense or straight suspense these days?

    Hey Ann,

Kay’s book are straight suspense these days. There are no intimate scenes. Those two books I listed above are older and I would consider them romantic suspense, even though they only have one intimate scene. I miss the romance aspect in her newer works, but I still enjoy her books.

Lemme see… read Sarah McCarty’s Caine’s Reckoning, read Lover Enshrined, read Sara Reinke’s Dark Thirst, re-read Memory in Death, read Sandra Schwab’s Bewitched, re-read Nalini Singh’s Slave to Sensation, read Lori Devoti’s Unbound, re-read Visions of Heath, beta-read a ms, and I’m half way through Ann Christopher’s Risk. Does that work?
