Okay, I’m Going Back On My Word

19 Oct 2008

But this tidbit is just too much in the “OMG!” category: Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama!  I’m such a dork for being excited, but I always thought had the Bush administrator not tainted Powell’s political career, he would’ve been the first African American POTUS.

    YES.

If he had run, I know a ton of people who would have voted for him, regardless of ticket.

And did you see the video segment? Calm, respectful, articulate. Damn, I wish he would run!

    *sigh*

    Okay, I’m a moron–not that it’s news.

Go to msnbc.com, go to meet the press, click on the video link.

Thanks, AZ. In my excitement, I forgot to embed the video.

Phew! Thank, God, it’s not just me.

Who knew intelligence and reason would be such a sexy combination?

Sorry, AZ, you were caught in my spam filter.

*sigh* Keith Olbermann reminds me of a serious Jon Stewart.

Oh man, yes! Slightly older and heftier–in a good way–but definitely a more serious Jon Stewart.

No wonder I’m crushing the guy!

    Thanks!

Thanks for linking to this – I hadn’t scene it yet. I view Colin Powell as every bit as inspirational and capable of being POTUS as Barack Obama. I wish he would have run for office, but I understand why he hasn’t.
